2007 Update: Overall the 2007 season was a good fishing year. Early on there was
plenty of big Barra and King Salmon, and some record Fingermark on our inshore spots. Mackerel,
Tuna, Queenfish, Trevally and Coral trout were prevalent in the May, June period, with plenty
of big fish around. The later months of Sep / oct proved the best months for quality Nannygai
and Mackerel, as these species were around in good numbers and size. The barra came on as
the water warmed up, with a boat record fish of 120cm being landed. After the big wet of 06 the
mudcrab were still a little quiet but numbers should improve for the coming season. So if
SportFishing is your number one thrill
and you'd like to be fishing Princess Charlotte Bay on the beautiful MV Boomerang,
make sure you book your holiday with Boomerang Sport Fishing.
